Know Tax and local charge
 
Before you buy flanges,you should know import VAT in your country and some local charge, for example: import customs clearance cost,handling fee,truck cost from harbor to your location.About stainless steel flanges, the HS code is 73072100 and for carbon steel is 73079100.Longrun flange is concentrated on Europe(70%-80%),the VAT is 3.7%,others please ask your own forwarder.  These costs plus CIF charge is your all import cost.

Please ask for details of package,payment terms,deliver terms,price valid date besides FOB/CIF/CFR price.
Especially FOB terms, asking for package details will help you to know well all cost in advance. Longrun flange will offer all of these details.

Flange package
 
Buyer should tell factory all package requirement before placing order. You should know the wood case size should be max 1200 length x800mm width(max 1.0ton).It's better to indicate the thickness of case.
Longrun flange supply fumigation-free plywood case acc. to customer's requirement.

Max capacity of container in your country.

Each shipping company and country has different max capacity for container. If you order flange shipped by sea on FCL(full container loading), it's very important.
America:18tons,  European:24tons, South of Africa:14-24tons(different ocean cost and schedule.)
Sometimes if the customers require, we will book open top container. It’s decided by the reality and customers’ requirements.

Delivery
 
Around 10days before cargo ready,pls ask chinese manufacturer for packing list , and  choose the suitable shipping vessel via your own forwarder in case FOB payment terms,or get ETD from manufacturer in case of CFR/CIF basis.

Import customs declaration
 
Passing the original shipping documents to your reliable local shipping agent, he will make everything for you.

Inspection 
 
When cargo is ready,buyer should get all test report of flange. You should ask for picture of fully machined flange,hard stamping and package ,to check with your order. If necessory,has third-party to make inspection and issue MTC3.2.
Longrun will make all neccessory inspection and test acc. ASTM A182 or EN10222-5, and PT/UT as well acc. to customer's requirements. Longrun's flange can be passed by BV/Lloyed and so on.

Question of t​ime

After talking so much about exporting flanges, I think it will be more beneficial for you to buy flanges from China. Be aware of the lead time appoaching chinese holiday ,such as summer holiday,chinese spring festival.  To make purchase plan as earlier as you can ,because it will take more time to produce flanges in such big dyas.
